In January of 2010, the state of California changed the laws regulating private post secondary schools. The HCH Intutitve Development Program is no longer required to be registered with the Bureau of Private Postsecondary Education. In compliance with these new regulations, the Intutitve Development certificate program will be run under the administration of the Transformational Therapy Center which is also on site at HCH Institute.
In this course you will journey into discovering and developing your own intuitive abilities so you can integrate your intuitive awareness into your personal and professional lives. This unique program will teach you practical, fun, and empowering tools to access non-ordinary states of consciousness as ways to tap into your greater knowing and wisdom. You will learn how to step beyond the intellectual ego-mind into the realms of the higher Self so that you can come to know that infinite possibilities exist beyond the bounds of ordinary consciousness. Whether you take this class purely for fun, or you are wanting to use intuition in your professional life or healing and helping practices, you will discover and cultivate your intuitive abilities and expand your consciousness in a non-hierarchical, supportive and empowering learning environment. Teens twelve and older are welcome.
This certification program is comprised of 60 hrs, six day-long weekend classes, and two courses that are also offered in the Parapsychological Studies Certificate Program: Being Psychic and PK and Precogniton. The courses may be taken in any sequence. All courses are also offered to the public as non-certificate students.
Bring a notebook and snacks. For day-long classes, lunch break is from 1PM-2PM. Bring lunch or dine out.
Discovering Intuitive History and use of Non-ordinary States, 6 hours, $125
In this course, you will discover how various cultures access and use intuition and how it is part of our own basic instincts. Come to understand what intuition is, that you are already receiving intuitive information, and how you can use it consciously in your own life.
Throughout the day, you will have ample opportunity to move deeper into accessing your intuitive abilities through non-ordinary states such as meditation, journeying, and hypnotic consciousness, as well as communicate with your own spiritual guides and higher self.
You will also spend ample time in each class developing and practicing important basic grounding and boundary techniques to keep yourself energetically clear and safe while allowing the natural intuitive energy to follow.
Staying Present, Intuition, and Spiritual Ethics, 6 hours, $125
As we continue to develop and integrate our own intuitive skills and style, there can be times when we feel stuck. It seems to us that the information is not forthcoming or we doubt the information we are aware of. In this class you will learn techniques and participate in partner practices where you learn to stay present and get out of your own way by beginning to differentiate the rambling of your ego mind from your own intuitive language.
In the afternoon we turn our focus to ethics and boundaries that we need to be aware of and incorporate into our intuitive life. Questions, such as, When should I divulge good or bad information that I have intuitively received to a friend or a stranger? or, Should I even tell them at all? will be explored as well as our own feelings and beliefs about the use or misuse of intuitive information. Examples of good and not so good ethics and boundaries of TV mediums and psychics will be presented.

Overcoming Intuitive Blocks and Introduction to Mediumship, 6 hours, $125
When you understand that intuition is an inherent natural ability, you can begin to address the subconscious blocks that keep you from achieving your full intuitive potential.
In this class, you will bring to the surface how cultural, familial, spiritual and other beliefs influence you in creating these blocks. You will have a variety of hands-on activities and exercises in the morning to help you recognize and overcome these beliefs that no longer serve you on your intuitive journey.
In the afternoon, you will use non-ordinary states such as hypnosis and meditation to become an instant medium. As an instant medium, you will explore multidimensional realms including the other side, guides, and power animals who can help you build stronger use of your individual intuitive modalities and also give you additional support to continue to overcome intuitive blocks.
Ever wonder why the same negative thing seems to happen to you over and over and another person seems to have all the good luck? In the afternoon you will turn your focus to noticing the frequencies and vibrations that you spend your time in and learn to raise them to be in tune with higher frequencies that allow natural manifesting ability. In staying with consciously created higher vibrations you begin to work on manifesting what you want.
As with each class, ample time will be spent practicing important basic grounding and boundary techniques to keep you energetically clear and safe while allowing the natural intuitive energy to flow.
Caring for Your Emotional, Physical and Spiritual Self with Intuitive Energy, 6 hours, $125
Whether you plan to use your intuitive abilities to help others or would simply like more clarity in your own life, recognizing how energy impacts your well-being is imperative. You will learn to recognize the presence of positive energy and how to create and maintain it for yourself. The importance of grounding will be discussed followed by opportunities in class to practice basic grounding skills. Techniques to help you care for yourself, including Reiki, crystal healing, visualization, affirmations and positive thinking will be introduced.
In the afternoon you will learn that as you begin integrating intuitive skills into your daily life, it's extremely important that you become aware of and learn to deflect negative energy before it affects you. You will focus on the steps involved in the process of recognizing negative energy, discover who is sending it (it could be you!) and either dissipate it or distance yourself from it as quickly as possible. Energetic protection and boundaries will also be introduced and practiced in class.
Dreamwork and Healing Yourself With Intuitive Energy, 6 hours, $125
In this class you will explore dreams from the basic function of dreams to the different types of Psychic Dreams such as precognitive dreams, displacement dreams, foreshadowing dreams, symbolic dreams and others. You will learn techniques to help you boost your dream recall, how to really pay attention to your dreams, how to ask your dreams for guidance and more.
In the afternoon, you will use non-ordinary states such as hypnosis and meditation to become an instant medium. Divination Tools and Practical Intuition, 6 hours, $125
In this course you'll explore divining tools, such as divining rods, pendulums, automatic writing, numerology, tarot cards, and scrying as a means for your conscious mind and higher self to acknowledge and interpret intuitive messages.
As with each class, ample time will be spent practicing important basic grounding and boundary techniques to keep you energetically clear and safe while allowing the natural intuitive energy to flow.
The entire afternoon is designed to give you the opportunity to take charge of your own intuitive skills. You will practice using your intuition in your daily life by learning and experiencing techniques to help you find objects, reading people's energy, reading situational energy, use of precognition, divining tools and others. There will be a large variety of experiential practicums presented. Please join us for this fun intuition play time!
Being Psychic, 12 hours, $200
With an overview of how psychic abilities show up in peoples experiences the world over, this class/seminar focuses on the informational psychic abilities that have been called Extra-Sensory Perception: telepathy, clairvoyance and precognition. We will discuss how these abilities show up in peoples experiences, both those of the average person and the ostensibly more talented psychics.Ê With discussion of parapsychological research from the early days to the more recent remote viewing, ganzfeld, and staring studies, attendees will also learn the evolution of research methods in the laboratory, and what parapsychological researchers have discovered with regard to personality, physiological and belief variables.Ê We will discuss how these abilities are experienced and accepted or rejected in various cultures around the world, and the major part Belief plays in having and developing ESP.Ê We will also discuss the major debate in Parapsychology dealing with Survival (of Bodily Death) vs. Super-Psi as conceptual explanations for a variety of ghostly and after-death experiences.
Psychic development will be addressed and some techniques passed along. Basic philosophy behind being psychic will be discussed, as well as a primary focus on immense part that Belief plays. We will also discuss the role telepathy and clairvoyance play in ghost encounters, hauntings and mediumship.
We will discuss how these abilities are experienced and accepted or rejected in various cultures around the world, and the major part Belief plays in having and developing ESP.Ê We will also discuss the major debate in Parapsychology dealing with Survival (of Bodily Death) vs. Super-Psi as conceptual explanations for a variety of ghostly and after-death experiences.
We will take some time to try a few more experiential situations. We will conduct some clairvoyance and remote viewing tests as well as play a few telepathy and psychometry games based somewhat on the instructors experience of a TV game show that was in development for the Game Show Network in 2002 (that show currently in limbo, it seems).
Finally, there will be discussion of how to assess psychic readings and even the backgrounds of self-professed psychics, parapsychologists, and paranormal investigators.
PK & Precognition, 15 hours, $225
MIND, MATTER AND TIME: How Our Psychic Abilities Affect the World Around Us, Pierce the Veil of Time and Help Create the Future. In this six week course, Loyd Auerbach will discuss two fascinating psychic abilities, Psychokinesis (mind over matter) and Precognition. In addition, he'll delve into theories of Time and Space that connect Psychokinesis (PK) and Precognition. In relation to PK, he'll delve into: what parapsychologists and many others know today about PK, how it manifests itself, and how it hints at the broader interconnectedness between our consciousnesses and the Universe around us.
There will be an experiential PK segment to this class, working with a method for PK developed by the late (great) science and science fiction writer Martin Caidin, himself capable of PK.
As for Precognition, Auerbach will cover questions such as: Can anyone really predict the Future? How? Is there really a Future that can be predicted? What is Time? Can we change the Future? Why do so many psychics miss on their predictions? What about the premonitions of the average person?
Parapsychologists have evidence that precognition exists. Research indicates that people can predict some future events, but not all. Sometimes precognition works well, and sometimes not.
Loyd Auerbach will discuss a variety of theories of Time and Timelines especially in the context of our apparent ability to predict the Future. He will cover the varied ways precognitive information pops up in our lives and some of the interesting research in Parapsychology. He will discuss conclusions reached by researchers about the nature of our ability to foretell the future.
Finally, there will be a focus on a conundrum in parapsychology: Do we predict the future or cause it to come into being with a little help from our PK? If the former, how do we use this information to shape our own personal Futures? If the latter, what does that say about our beliefs and expectations, and how all humanity consciously and unconsciously shapes the Future? Join us for what will be a mind bending experience.

Holly has been a student of transpersonal psychology and the paranormal since she was a high school student in the 60's. While getting her MA in transpersonal psychology at John F. Kennedy University, she studied palmistry, tarot and other divination tools she uses for intuitive guidance in her life and in her therapy practice.
Over the years of meditative practice, self-hypnosis and guiding 1000's of clients into non-ordinary states of consciousness in hypnosis, she has naturally expanded her own intuitive abilities and understands how everyone is intuitive. She uses practical, useful, and effective tools to teach others how to cultivate their own intuitive abilities and to integrate intuition into their personal and professional lives.

Loyd Auerbach has been in and around Parapsychology since his teenage years. After gaining his M.S. in Parapsychology from John F. Kennedy
University in northern California in 1981, he worked as Public Information and Media Consultant to the American Society for Psychical Research in New York City. He came back to the
Bay Area and has been on faculty at JFK University since 1983, and founded the Office of Paranormal Investigations officially in 1989 (though he had already been conducting investigations
for 10 years). He is a Past President of the California Society for Psychical Study and was a long-time contributor and columnist for FATE Magazine (1991-2004). He is on the advisory board
of the Rhine Research Center, and is a member of the Parapsychological Association and the Society for Scientific Exploration.
He holds a degree in Cultural Anthropology from Northwestern University and a graduate degree in Parapsychology from JFK University.
ÊHe has worked as a consultant on the paranormal for organizations in the field of Parapsychology, as well as for a variety of media. For the latter, he has consulted on a number of TV
series and shows, including the Travel Channels Americas Most Haunted Places.
